I worked in the building across the street for two years, and rode my bike to and from work most days. Gridlock and impatient commuters crowd the streets at 12th and New York Ave. Calming traffic takes more than a deep breath from everyone. Roads need to be designed for everyone, driver education must include awareness to drive with cyclists and pedestrians, and we all have to do a better job watching out for each other.
