Google Gets Into the Biking Game

Google Maps recently announced upcoming support for bicycle routes. They’re not just stopping with the how to get there option.

Recently announced, they’re also using the Google Trike – a camera mounted on a bicycle – to capture Street View images of places inaccessable to cars.

Where are they going to film? Well that’s up to you. You can nominate locations from six different categories:

  • Parks & Trails
  • University Campuses
  • Theme Parks & Zoos
  • Pedestrian Malls (ie: outdoor shopping areas, boardwalks)
  • Landmarks
  • Sports Venues (ie: golf courses, racing tracks, stadium grounds)

Where in DC would you nominate? The Zoo? Rock Creek Park? The Mall? Mt. Vernon Trail? W&OD?
